University of Sri Jayewardenepura External Degrees Application (2026 Intake)

Enrollment of Students for External Degree Programs 2026/2027

The External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit (EDECU) of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura has announced the calling of applications for External Degree Programs for the 2026/2027 Academic Year. Students who wish to continue higher education through external study mode can now apply for the available degree programmes offered by the university.

Available Degree Programmes

1. Bachelor of Arts (BA) (General)
2. Bachelor of Social Sciences (B.S.Sc) in Environmental & Development Studies (General)
3. BSc in Business Studies (General)
4. BSc (Honors) in Polymer Products Manufacturing & Industrial Management

Entry Qualifications: G.C.E. A/L or Other

💻 How to Apply – Applications should be submitted online through the official External Degrees portal of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Complete the online application form and upload scanned copies of the following documents:

• Certified copy of the Birth Certificate
• Certified copies of Educational Qualification Certificates
• Certified copy of the National Identity Card (NIC)
• Original bank receipt for cash payments or online payment receipt for Visa/Master debit or credit card payments

Print the completed application and send it with certified copies of documents via registered post before the closing date.

Important Instructions

• Can apply for multiple programs. Separate applications must be submitted for each degree programme.
• Delayed or incomplete applications will be rejected.
• Applicants should clearly mention the relevant degree programme on the top left corner of the envelope.
• The university has stated that applicants should follow only the official procedures published by the External Degrees and Extension Courses Unit (EDECU).
