GIT Exam Results Released 2025

The Department of Examinations has released the results of the General Information Technology (GIT) Examination 2025, which was conducted on 11th January 2026.

Examination Statistics

• Total Applicants: 200,235
• School Applicants: 199,598
• Private School Applicants: 637
• Examination Centres: 1,669
• Coordinating Centres: 325
• Candidates Who Sat the Examination: 147,407

The Department announced that official result sheets will be available from 23 July 2026.

• School candidates: Schools can download result sheets via the School Account Login.
• Private candidates: Can download their result sheets through the Personal Account Login.
• Provincial/Zonal Education Offices: Can access result sheets through the Online Applications portal.

Candidates who appeared for the above examination can now check their results through the official online platforms provided by the Department of Examinations. (The online result checking link is given below.)

How to Check Results – Candidates can check their results online by following these steps:

1. Visit the official results website: www.results.exams.gov.lk
2. Click on the relevant examination
3. Insert your Index Number.
4. Click on the “View Results” button to view your result.
5. Take a screenshot or print your result for future reference.
