Applications are invited from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Software Engineer (Contract Basis) at the Sri Lanka Medical Council.

• Job Post – Software Engineer

Nature of Appointment:

• Contract basis for 1 year
• Extendable for another year based on performance and service requirements

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering / Information Technology
• Or an equivalent qualification recognized by the University Grants Commission

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering, development, and system implementation
• Experience in web-based application development, database management, and system integration
• Knowledge in cybersecurity practices and API development
• Experience in payment gateway integration
• Exposure to healthcare system development is an added advantage

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain software systems and digital platforms
• Ensure database integrity, system security, and data protection compliance
• Develop and maintain APIs and integrate external services (payment gateways, SMS systems)
• Perform system testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Provide technical support, user training, and documentation
• Carry out other duties assigned by SLMC
