Educational Qualifications
- Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in six subjects at one sitting, with Credit Passes in Sinhala/Tamil/English, Mathematics and two other subjects.
- Passed all subjects at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination at one sitting, excluding the General Common Test, with at least one subject from Economics, Biology, Agriculture, Combined Mathematics, Accounting, Business Statistics or Business Studies.
Professional Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following:
- Diploma in Advanced Accounting or Audit Management from the National Institute of Cooperative Development.
- Passed the final stage of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) or an equivalent qualification.
- Diploma in Accounting or Management from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma in Accounting from the Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education (SLIATE).
- Degree in Management, Accounting or Commerce from a university approved by the University Grants Commission.
All educational and professional qualifications must have been completed and certificates obtained on or before 23 September 2026.
Other Qualifications
- Must be a Sri Lankan citizen with an excellent character.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere within the North Western Province.
- Must have been a permanent resident of the North Western Province for at least 3 years immediately preceding the closing date, certified by a Grama Niladhari using a DS 04 certificate.
- Age must be 18-30 years as at the closing date.
- Persons holding monastic status in any religious order are not eligible to sit for this examination.
Examination
The written competitive examination consists of two papers:

How to Apply
Applications are accepted online only through the North Western Provincial Public Service Commission examination website.
Applicants should visit exams.psc.nw.gov.lk and complete the online application according to the instructions provided.
After completing the online application, applicants must download the application as a PDF, print it, attach the examination fee receipt and send it by registered post or postal courier to the North Western Provincial Public Service Commission.
The printed application must reach the Commission on or before 30 September 2026.
