The Faculty of Education, University of Colombo offers the Postgraduate Diploma in Education in the English Medium as a Part-Time, self-financing programme, in response to the dire need in the system for teachers who are proficient to teach in the English Medium. This programme is designed to promote the professional development of teachers, teacher educators, principals of schools, and others in the field of education.

This programme aims to produce a Professional to the field of Education who has the capacity to contribute effectively in the Teaching, Learning and assessment in the Medium of English as a competent Teacher as well as a Recourse person.
