Educational Qualifications:

• (1) Shall have passed 06 subjects with credit passes for four (04) subjects including Sinhalaor Tamil or English Language and Mathematics at the G.C.E. (Ordinary Level) Examination in one sitting
  AND,
• (2)Shall have passed all the subjects at the G.C.E. (Advanced Level) Examination in onesitting (except the General Paper and General English). Passing three (03) subjects under the old syllabus in one sitting would be sufficient for this purpose
