Sri Lanka Foreign Service (SLFS) Exam (Vacancies) Application 2026

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment And Tourism has called applications for the Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Foreign Service (SLFS) – 2026

A total of 25 vacancies are available. The examination will be conducted by the Commissioner General of Examinations in November 2026.

• Exam Medium: Sinhala / Tamil / English

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess a degree meeting one of the following requirements:

• A degree from a foreign or State university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or
• A degree awarded by a university established by an Act of Parliament of Sri Lanka
  or
• A degree recognized under Section 25A of the Universities Act No. 16 of 1978.

Age Limit

• General applicants: 22 to below 28 years.
• Public Service employees: Below 35 years.
• Age is considered as at 06 October 2026.
