Publishing of Vacancies for the Recruitment of Officers to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals Service (SLPS) – 2025/2026
The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has published a Gazette notification announcing the district-wise vacancies available for recruitment to Grade III of the Sri Lanka Principals Service – 2025/2026.
According to the Gazette notification published on 06 November 2026, recruitment will be carried out to fill the approved vacancies in government schools (National and Provincial Schools) based on the results of the written competitive examination held on 07 June 2026 and the interviews scheduled to be conducted.
District-wise Vacancy List – Sri Lanka Principals Service 2025/2026

Note: A dash (-) indicates that no vacancies are listed for the respective language medium.
Interview Selection and Further Details
- Candidates will be called for interviews at twice the number of vacancies available in each district under each language medium.
- The list of eligible candidates selected for interviews will be published on the official website of the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education.
- Details regarding the interview venue, date, time and documents required for the interview will also be published later.
- Candidates whose names appear on the eligible candidates list should attend the interview.
- Candidates will also be informed by letter. However, even if the letter is not received, candidates will be allowed to attend the interview after verifying their identity.
