The Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education has issued Amendment No. 04 to the Service Minute of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service through the Gazette Extraordinary No. 2493/61 dated 19 June 2026.
The Service Minute of the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service, which was originally published in Gazette Extraordinary No. 1885/38 dated 23 October 2014, has been further amended as specified in this Gazette notification. Other terms and conditions mentioned in the Service Minute will remain unchanged.

Key Amendment
According to the amendment, changes have been introduced to the structure of the Efficiency Bar (EB) written tests under the Sri Lanka Teachers’ Service.
The written tests for each Efficiency Bar will be structured as follows:
