Calling Applications for University Admission (2024/2025) by the University Grants Commission (UGC)

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced the release schedule and application details for university admissions for the academic year 2024/2025.

How to Obtain the Handbook

Students can purchase the University Admission Handbook by paying Rs. 1000, using the following methods:

Direct Purchase:

  • From the UGC Secretariat: No. 20, Ward Place, Colombo 07
  • Through distributing agents appointed across the island

By Post:

  • Deposit Rs. 1000 at:
    • Bank of Ceylon – Account No. 0002323287 (Torrington Branch)
    • People’s Bank – Account No. 167-1-001-4-3169407 (Town Hall Branch)
  • Send the authenticated bank slip with a written request, specifying:
    • Applicant’s name
    • Preferred language medium of the handbook
  • Include a self-addressed un-stamped envelope (minimum 37cm x 26cm)
