Applications are now open for scholarships offered by the Ceylon Estate Workers’ Education Trust (CEWET) with support from the High Commission of India – Year 2026

These scholarships aim to support the education of children from estate worker families across Sri Lanka.

Available Categories

  • G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L)
  • Undergraduate Degree Programmes
  • Vocational / Technical Courses at Government Technical Colleges

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be children of estate workers
  • Have passed G.C.E. Ordinary Level (minimum 6 credit passes) or G.C.E. Advanced Level
  • Be below 25 years of age

Required Documents

  • Birth Certificate (copy)
  • G.C.E. O/L or A/L Result Sheet
  • Certificate from Estate Superintendent (confirming parents’ occupation)
  • Latest salary slip of parents
  • Copy of first page of applicant’s bank passbook
