Uva Province Driver Service (Open) Vacancies 2026

The Uva Provincial Council Public Service Commission has called for applications for Open Recruitment to the Driver Service Grade III in the Uva Provincial Council Public Service

A total of 18 vacancies are available for qualified candidates residing in the Uva Province. Applications will be accepted until 26 June 2026

Eligibility Criteria

• Be a Sri Lankan citizen.
• Be between 18 and 45 years of age as of 26 June 2026.
• Be of good character and physically fit.
• Have resided continuously in the Uva Province for at least three years before the closing date.
• Possess the required educational, professional, and physical qualifications.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants must have passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination with:

• Six (06) subjects at not more than two sittings.
• Credit passes in at least two subjects including a Language (Sinhala, Tamil, or English).

Professional Qualifications

• Hold a valid driving licence issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic.
• Have obtained the licence at least three years before the recruitment date.
• Possess at least a Class C and C1 licence or a Class B licence under the new licensing system.
• Have a sound knowledge of traffic regulations and highway laws.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of three years of driving experience after obtaining the driving licence.
• Experience must be supported by relevant certificates.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum height of 5 feet.
• Good eyesight and physical fitness certified by a Government Medical Officer.
• Ability to perform duties during both daytime and nighttime.

Age Limit

• Age should be between 18 – 45 years as at the closing date of applications
