Educational Qualifications
- Passed six (06) subjects with Credit passes for four (04) subjects including Sinhala/Tamil/ English and Mathematics at the GCE O/L Examination at one sitting
- Passed all subjects at the G.C.E. A/L Examination in one sitting, excluding the Common General Test and General English.
Age Limit
Be 18 years or above and not more than 30 years as at 25 September 2026
Examination Papers
The written examination consists of two papers:
- Language Proficiency – 100 marks – 2½ hours
- Aptitude – 100 marks – 1 hour
Candidates must obtain at least 40% for each subject and at least 50% of the total marks to qualify for appointment. Selection will be made according to merit and the number of vacancies to be filled.
District-Based Recruitment
Recruitment will be carried out based on district population proportions. Applicants can compete for vacancies in only one district and must select the relevant district when submitting the online application.
