Educational Qualifications

• Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) Examination in one sitting with six subjects.
• Obtained Credit passes in Sinhala/Tamil/English Language, Mathematics, Science and one other subject.

Professional Qualification

• Successfully completed a 2½-year technical course recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC) and obtained the relevant certificate.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum height: 5 feet 4 inches
• Must pass the required 6/6 eyesight test
• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the duties and serve anywhere in Sri Lanka.
• Male candidates only.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 35 years
• Age is calculated as at 28 September 2026.
• Applicants born on or after 28 September 1991 and on or before 28 September 2008 are eligible to apply.
