Educational Qualifications

• Passed 6 subjects at G.C.E. O/L in one sitting, including Tamil/Sinhala/English and Mathematics, with Credit passes in 2 subjects.
• Passed 3 subjects at G.C.E. A/L in one sitting, including at least one subject from Economics, Agriculture, Combined Mathematics, Accounting, Business Statistics or Business Studies.

Professional Qualifications

Applicants should also possess one of the following:

• Diploma in Higher Accountancy, Auditing or Management from the National Institute of Co-operative Development, Polgolla
• Higher-level Co-operative Development course from the Provincial Co-operative Training Institute, Northern Province
• AAT – Final Stage
• Diploma in Accounting or Management from a recognized institution
• Intermediate Examination of Chartered Accountancy
• 4-year Higher Diploma in Accountancy from an Advanced Technical Institute
• 3-year Diploma in Business Administration from an Advanced Technical Institute.

Residency Requirement

• Have been a permanent resident of the Northern Province for at least 3 continuous years during the 6 years immediately preceding the application closing date;
  Or
• The applicant or their parent must have been born in the Northern Province, and the applicant must have been a permanent resident of the Northern Province continuously for at least 5 years.

Age Limit

• 18 – 30 years as at the closing date.
