The Department of Government Valuation has called applications for the Open Competitive Examination for Recruitment to the Post of Assistant Valuer – Class II Grade II in the Department of Government Valuation 2025 (2026).
A total of 99 vacancies will be filled through this examination, which will be held in Colombo in July 2026. Eligible Sri Lankan citizens who meet the required qualifications can apply online through the Department of Examinations.

Educational Qualifications:
Applicants must have either:
- A Bachelor of Science Special Degree in Estate Management and Valuation, recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), or
- Be a Chartered Valuer with membership at the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), United Kingdom.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 35 years
Only applicants born on or before 28.02.2005 and on or after 28.02.1991 are eligible to apply.
Important Notes
- Examination can be taken in Sinhala, Tamil, or English
- The online application must be completed in English only
- Religious clergy are not eligible to apply
- Applicants waiting for degree results are not eligible unless official confirmation is provided
- Admission cards will be issued online only
- Applicants must be physically and mentally fit to serve anywhere in Sri Lanka
