Sabaragamuwa Province MSO Vacancies (Open Exam) 2026

The Sabaragamuwa Provincial Public Service Commission has called for applications for the Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the Sabaragamuwa Province Management Service Officer (MSO) Service Grade III – 2026 

• Post: Management Service Officers (MSO) Officer Grade III
• Exam Date: December 2026

Educational Qualifications

• Passed six (06) subjects with Credit passes for four (04) subjects including Sinhala/Tamil/ English and Mathematics at the GCE O/L Examination at one sitting
• Passed all subjects at the G.C.E. A/L Examination in one sitting, excluding the Common General Test and General English.

Residency Requirement

• Have been a permanent resident of the Sabaragamuwa province for at least 3 continuous years during the 5 years immediately preceding the application closing date;
  Or
• Husband or Wife of the applicant should have been a permanent resident of the Sabaragamuwa province for at least 3 years

Age Limit

Be 18 years or above and not more than 30 years as at 09 October 2026

Examination Papers

The written examination consists of two papers:

1. Language Proficiency – 100 marks – 2½ hours
2. Aptitude – 100 marks – 1 hour

Candidates must obtain at least 40% for each subject and at least 50% of the total marks to qualify for appointment. Selection will be made according to merit and the number of vacancies to be filled.
